Impact
Our mission is to transform sidestreams into sustainable, high-quality mycelium protein ingredients through efficient solid-state fermentation for aquaculture, poultry and pet nutrition

The Problem: Traditional protein relies on ocean depletion and land-heavy agriculture, driving biodiversity loss and deforestation across the food chain.

Our Solution: Seaqure labs delivers nutrition from natural resources. We upcycle local sidestreams into a high-performing, mycelium-based ingredient.

LESS ENERGY USE

LESS WATER USE

LESS LAND USE

The mycelium we are producing require significantly less land-use than soy, uses minimal amount of water in the production and can be produced using solid and liquid agrifood sidestreams that otherwise would go to waste. By upcycling the residues, we are turning waste into value, resulting in a feast for fish, pets and poultry.
Aquaculture is the fastest growing food sector globally. As the industry and production is growing, the dependency of fishmeal is growing and consequently it leads to a steady and volatile increase in price. Every year, over 2 million metric tonnes of forage fish is caught for fishmeal. Fishmeal and soymeal today accounts for around 75% of the production costs for fish farmers. By replacing a percentage of fishmeal and soybean with mycoproteins, we can create a fully sustainable value chain for aquaculture.

The pet food market is changing as more owners look for the same high standards for their pets as they do for themselves. They want "clean-label," natural, and healthy ingredients that they can trust. Seaqure labs delivers a mycelium-based protein that provides a high-quality, nutrient-dense foundation for pet nutrition. We help create a pet food supply chain that is safe, eco-friendly, and better for the planet. This allows pet food makers to offer premium products that align with the values of today’s environmentally conscious pet parents.
The poultry industry requires massive amounts of protein to keep up with global demand, but traditional sources like soy are often linked to land use issues and deforestation. Feed currently represents a major portion of production costs for farmers, similar to the challenges faced in aquaculture. Seaqure labs delivers a circular protein loop to feed the birds that feed the world. By replacing a portion of traditional soy or fishmeal with our mycelium protein, we can lower the carbon footprint of poultry products while maintaining high meat and egg quality. This creates a more stable, local, and sustainable value chain for the entire industry.
